This video was filmed during the pandemic when we couldn't show people around.  We hope it gives you a 'flavour' of life at Lane End.

We are a friendly and successful primary school in Cheadle Hulme, Stockport. We want our children to be excellent learners, work hard and be challenged; behave well and develop socially and emotionally; have a wide range of enriching experiences and lots of fun whilst they are at school.

We see ourselves as a family school and a community of learners; where education is a partnership between staff, parents/carers and pupils, and where we work together for the good of all of our children.

Places for Reception 2026

Choosing a school for your child is one of the most important decisions you will make.  All of our children are happy to be part of Lane End and they thrive here.  If you have a child who is due to start in Reception in September 2026, we would love to show you around our wonderful school. We show prospective parents around in small groups to give you the opportunity to ask questions and to see the school in action.  We are more than happy to show parents around from outside our catchment area too, as in recent years we have had many children join us from further afield. 

We have our own school led wrap around care called Owlets.  We aim to offer sessions to any families who need childcare without being put on a waiting list(more information can be found in the 'Parents' section of our website).  Booking is flexible and the morning session starts from 7.30am with collection up to 6pm (5.30pm on a Friday).
